Academic Council

The Academic Council, in accordance with the Charter of Lomonosov  Moscow State University and the Regulations of the Faculty, is the highest collegial governing body of the faculty:

• It resolves the most important issues related to the development of the faculty, its educational and scientific activities, international relations, financial and economic activities, and other activities.

• It adopts the Regulations of the faculty, department, and laboratory of the faculty, makes changes to them, and submits them for approval to the rector of Moscow State University.

• It approves the structure of the faculty and makes changes to it; it makes decisions on the creation, liquidation, or reorganization of departments (laboratories) and submits them for approval to the Academic Council of Moscow State University.

• It approves the curriculum of the faculty.

• It approves the plan of scientific research work of the faculty and annual reports on its implementation.

• It approves plans for the economic and social development of the faculty.

• It listens to the annual reports of the dean on the work of the faculty and evaluates the results of its activities.
