-
The ability to assess the impact of current and expected meteorological and climatic conditions on water resources, components of the natural environment, economic sectors, and public health
-
Knowledge of basic methods for assessing dangerous and extreme hydrometeorological, geological-geomorphological, cryospheric processes arising as a result of climate change
-
Knowledge of theoretical concepts and methodological approaches to assessing the specific effects of climate change on soil cover, biota and biodiversity, modern landscapes and their ecosystem functions
-
Knowledge of methods of geoinformation analysis and processing of remote sensing data for analysis and modeling of the state of environmental components, river basins, landscapes at different hierarchical levels
- Knowledge of theoretical concepts and approaches for planning adaptation measures to climate change for the population, economic sectors and regions of the country in order to reduce losses and damage from their negative consequences
Graduates of the program will be able to
-
Act as scientific experts in assessing the impact of climate change on various components of the natural environment, economic sectors, and public health
-
Assess the impact of climate change on soil cover, biota, landscapes using modern methods of remote analysis and environmental modeling
-
Develop, with the participation of specialists from other areas, in the development and planning of adaptation measures to climate change to mitigate damage to the environment, various sectors of the economy, and living conditions of the population
