The profile «Geography of the World Economy» makes it possible to obtain the necessary theoretical knowledge, applied skills and abilities that allow you to solve professional problems that require an understanding of the leading world economic processes, the structure of production and international markets in major industries, as well as the situation of individual countries and regions, including Russian Federation, in the system of world economy and foreign economic relations.
The graduate masters the methodology and modern methods of researching world markets for goods and services, has the skills to search for information (statistical data, regulations, concepts and plans for territorial development, etc.) in foreign languages and its subsequent analytical processing, and can assess the production and export potential of countries world in various industries. Those who have mastered the bachelor's program in this profile are able to take into account the global economic influence of natural-ecological, cultural-ethnic, geopolitical, as well as geo-economic factors associated with the latest stage of development of the international division of labor.
Graduates of the profile work in organizations in the real and financial sectors of the economy in the field of establishing connections with foreign partners, attracting foreign investment, foreign supplies and purchases, cooperation with international financial organizations; in government agencies and scientific organizations involved in strategic planning, forecasting and regulation of the economy.
